WHO IS A SIKH ?
Any person who :
»worships only one God
» believes in Gurbani, teachings of Ten Sikh Gurus (Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji), Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and has faith in AMRIT from Five Beloved one (PANJ PYARE) as ordained by Guru Gobind Singh Ji and does not believe in any other religion.
» A Sikh after taking Amrit is also known as KHALSA.
A Sikh is identified by uncut hair on head covered by tidy turban and uncut mustache and beard. The female Sikh is distinguished by uncut hair on head which should be properly covered.
AN IDEAL SIKH’S GOAL
Oh God! Bless me so that I may never desist from doing noble deeds.
Neither, I may be afraid of the enemy when I struggle in the battle field but should have complete confidence in my ultimate victory.
I may mould my mind with one and only one temptation to always recite God’s name.
Finally, I should die fighting in the battlefield when my life nears its end. - (GURU GOBIND SINGH)
